The background of the story is simple, almost too simple, meaning that the movie doesn't have a plot... The movie really doesn't have an ending either. Sure the Prince comes and stops the fight...but then it fades black, and then credits... Not really a story, just an awesome battle... This page is more devoted to the making of the video, not really the background...
What went wrong???
Every thing...ev-er-ry-thin-g!!! This was not only the hardest project to edit but to film!!!! First of all, when we bagan filming, I figured I would do it like Halite's large gun fight... Both big, both many die...it's got to be filmed the same... What I didn't know, that I learn, was that things that are different are filmed different... You don't film a talking scene like an explosion and apprentally you don't film a sword fight/war like a gun fight... I had a false confidence because of the slow motion technic, and I thought the rest would be fine... NO!!! I thought that, like in Halite, people would just fight and do what ever they want, and the camera would move around, catching things... Well, after the first day of filming, I watched the footage...and was worried, I knew we were getting crap. Not only that, but the last 10 mins of video was damaged by snow that got on the camera... So I thought about it, and thought about it and decided to turn to the pros. I put in Braveheart and watched the battle of Sterling, taking down notes on moves, positions, angles, everything...(Though I didn't stick to that, it helped to get going) In Conclusion to the filming problem, I realized how I was doing it wrong... Braveheart had double kill moves in 1 sec, while we were getting 5 min fencing sequences...people didn't fence in battle, they killed, killed and killed in quick angles... I think I counted around 100 different angles in 7 mins during braveheart and we were getting 1 and a half... So once that was figured out, we were good...
As for editing, oooooooo god, that was horrible and it hurts to even think about it!!! So we got amazing footage, but unfortunatly, since the camera got wet the first day of filming, the files that weren't damaged became erroneous on the computer... Erroneous meaning that they screwed the sound, screwed the video by freezing and then jumping to catch up, screwing as in just breaking the program... It was really bad, it took my around 3 weeks to get this project done, when 4 days would have been enough... I had to cut the video in half to get it on tape, not only that but in the middle of a song... The video, somehow, by the grace of the flying turtle in the sky frooze during an off point in the song, so I could just pick it up again from that point... It finally worked and we got an awesome video, but a lot of work went in...

What was the inspiration???
Well, Johns grade, getting the website out there, getting the name A.S.A.P. Films out there, play with swords, fun... Those are the small reasons, but what really drove me to fight through the erroneous files, the messed up tape happenings, everything was the feeling to beat the crap out of "A Public Place". That little video sits there on the favorites list of everyone, even me...but I wanted a new video, a new favorite small project... Halite is the best of all but it's in a full lenght catagory... A Public Place is the best (in the eyes of A.S.A.P.) for small projects. So being that John was assigned the same project by the same teacher me and Max made "A Public Place", I figured that it was our chance... Now don't get me wrong, if you were not in A.S.A.P. Films and you watched both A.P.P. and I.C.V., you would say In Choler Verona with no hesitation, no thought at all...but the reason it doesn't rank higher in my book is because A Public Place had such an impact, it was the turning point for A.S.A.P. Films... In Choler Verona was just another great film made by A.S.A.P. Films...
